According to the "High-tech Enterprise Recognition Management Measures" promulgated by the state in 2008, in my country, high-tech enterprises generally refer to resident enterprises that continuously carry out research and development and technology transformation within the scope of the "National Key High-tech Fields Supported by the State", form the core independent intellectual property rights of the enterprise, and carry out business activities based on this, and are knowledge-intensive and technology-intensive economic entities.

  Under the influence of my country's "innovation-driven development strategy", various regions have accelerated the cultivation of high-tech enterprises and cultivated new advantages in innovation and development. According to relevant data, Since 2010-2019, the number of high-tech enterprises in my country has continued to grow, and the annual growth rate has basically remained above 15%, especially during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the growth rate of the number has been above 25%. In 2019, the number of high-tech enterprises in China reached 218,500, a year-on-year increase of 26.9%; in 2020, according to relevant data statistics from the State Administration of Taxation, the number of high-tech enterprises in China is expected to reach 275,000.

  In the era of knowledge economy, high-tech industries are increasingly becoming the core industries that promote technological progress and economic growth. As one of the important subjects to promote national industrial transformation and scientific and technological innovation, the development of high-tech enterprises can not only increase the technological added value of traditional industries and promote the efficient operation of the entire national economy, but also radiate the surrounding areas and jointly drive the progress of various fields in the region.

  To support research in related fields, the CnOpenData team launched the list of Chinese high-tech enterprises. This data involves high-tech enterprises in 31 municipalities, provinces, autonomous regions and 5 independently planned cities across the country, with a total number of nearly 370,000 enterprises, and covers fields such as the year of certification, batch, enterprise name before and after the change, name change time, and qualification status.
