    Introduction to Grid-Level Population Payment Capacity Data in Chinese Cities

  Third-party payment refers to a network payment model where independent institutions with substantial strength and credibility facilitate transactions between parties by connecting with UnionPay or NetsUnion. With advancements in computer technology, 5G, and related fields, third-party payment models have rapidly emerged and extensively covered both offline and online transactions across all regions and industries in China.

  Residential consumption patterns in cities reflect multifaceted information about regional economic growth trends, growth quality, and regional disparities.

  To support related research, CnOpenData presents grid-level population payment capacity data for Chinese cities, covering payment capacity information across urban populations. This dataset adopts geohash7 as the grid unit, revealing the proportion of populations with payment capacities ranked in the top x% within 150m×150m rectangular areas across cities. It further distinguishes between working populations and residential populations.
