The Birth of CnOpenData

  Initially, we had occasional opportunities to offer data collection and sorting services to some university and college teachers. Over the past few years, we have gradually established stable collegial partnerships with many university and college teachers, which has led to us becoming reasonably well known. Motivated by the increasing demand for data services, we decided to build a data platform to address these needs more broadly.

  The Internet generates and stores massive amounts of data and information, and presents this to the public. However, scholars encounter many problems when using data from the Internet, such as problems in selecting, collecting, and organizing the data they require from the huge volumes of data that are available. As IT professionals, we are highly proficient at addressing such data-related challenges. We have also benefited from the support we have received from the professional academic teams who were once our clients but are now our consultants.

  Simplicity, clarity, and usefulness are our goals. In a world pervaded by digital technologies, data is akin to gold nuggets that are scattered everywhere; our role is to mine these nuggets, and make them available to researchers. We look forward to working with you to explore the value of data, and to help you to find the data you need.

The History of CnOpenData

  CnOpenData is a comprehensive data platform covering many sectors, such as the economy, legal, healthcare, and humanities sectors, and provides personalized data-customization services. The platform now has over 100 specialty databases across 10 categories, including patent data (containing over 140 million entries), registered company data (containing over 170 million entries), listed company data, land data, government data, COVID-19 data, regional data, transportation data, and meteorological data. Both quantitative and qualitative data are available, thereby offering invaluable support to academic research.

  The platform offers highly professional data-customization and data-integration services, and reliable academic resources, which provides high-quality professional support for customers’ research and decision-making in various fields. We provide data services to many Chinese universities and colleges, and to renowned Chinese scholars. We are also accepted as an open-source repository by the library of Princeton University (USA).In addition,we have entered into a strategic partnership with Neudata to provide customers with high-quality data services in the fields of investment management, private equity, venture capital, and company management.

  CnOpenData is a partner of various institutions and organizations, including the Computational Social Science Platform of Tsinghua University and Neudata,Comprehensive Development Research Institute (China-Shenzhen), People's Data, Tonglian Data, City Data Mission and is authorized to use data from the Center for Enterprise Research of Peking University, the Survey and Research Center for China Household Finance of Southwest University of Finance and Economics, and other institutions. CnOpenData has also obtained authorization to use the high-quality public data generated by well-known scholars at Central University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Renmin University of China (PUC). CnOpenData provides scholars and researchers with tools for searching the indexes of public data.
