The administrative approval center is a comprehensive administrative service agency that integrates information and consultation, approval and charging, management and coordination, complaints and supervision. The construction of the administrative approval center is based on the purpose of convenience, efficiency, integrity and standardization, and promotes the operation mode of "one-stop office, one-stop service, parallel approval, sunshine operation, and standardized management". On August 3, 2011, the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Deepening Government Affairs Openness and Strengthening Government Affairs Services" (hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions"). The "Opinions" pointed out that it is necessary to gradually establish and improve the government affairs service system and give full play to the role of service centers.
To support relevant research, CnOpenData has launched data on administrative approval centers in various prefecture-level cities in China, covering the number of administrative approval centers, establishment dates, number of service windows and other content in more than 300 prefecture-level cities across the country.
