A certified public accountant refers to a person who has obtained a certified public accountant certificate and practices in an accounting firm, engaging in auditing, consulting, taxation and other related businesses. An accounting firm refers to an accounting service institution established in China in accordance with the law, composed of Chinese citizens, with independent legal personality, entrusted by investors and other stakeholders, and engaged in accounting, auditing, corporate management consulting and related businesses.
With the development of China's economy, the scale of my country's audit market continues to expand, and the CPA industry has shown rapid growth in recent years. According to the "2018-2019 China Certified Public Accountants Industry Development Report" released by the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the total business revenue of my country's certified public accountants industry in 2018 reached 40.561 billion yuan, an increase of 17.95% compared with 2017.
According to the "China Certified Public Accountant Industry Development Plan (2016-2020)" formulated by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of China, by 2020, my country will form a unit directly under the central government, three units directly under the regional government, and six provincial-level (including planned A relatively complete management system including units directly under separate cities) and 100 units directly under city (prefecture) level and 600 units directly under districts and counties.
