Typhoon data introduction
Typhoon disaster is one of the natural disasters with the highest frequency and most serious impact in the world. It is a major global problem facing human survival and development today. According to statistics from the Typhoon Climate Change Assessment Report compiled by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the Typhoon Committee of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), tropical cyclones around the world cause an average of 20,000 deaths and US$10 billion every year. economic losses above. Due to the externalities, intergenerational equity, and global nature of climate issues, the impact of typhoons and their prevention and control responses have always been hot and difficult issues of widespread concern to all sectors of society. A number of academic studies have analyzed and discussed this issue, and it has also been established We have conducted many typhoon research institutes and research projects.
Typhoons not only cause great harm to nature, but also have many impacts on the economy and society. From a macroeconomic perspective, on the one hand, sudden natural disasters such as typhoons can seriously damage infrastructure and buildings in disaster-stricken areas, and may cause a large number of casualties and have a negative impact on local economic development; but on the other hand, natural disasters The damage to buildings caused by disasters provides an opportunity for upgrading urban buildings and seeking new development. It eliminates the contradiction between the redevelopment of land and durable buildings in urban development, and also provides new impetus for local economic development. From a micro level, the huge damage caused by natural disasters will cause local governments to face huge financial pressure in post-disaster relief and reconstruction in the short term, which may lead local governments to strengthen tax collection and administration of enterprises within their jurisdiction to obtain finance, which will Reduce the tax avoidance behavior of enterprises, and these enterprises with less tax avoidance can obtain more subsidies and credit resources from the government in the future.
The typhoon database launched by the CnOpenData data team contains typhoon information from two sources. Each source is different in terms of fields and data volume. Scholars can freely choose according to their own research needs. Among them, Source A contains three sub-tables of typhoon basic information, typhoon path information, and typhoon circle radius; B source includes typhoon basic information table, typhoon landing information table, typhoon path information table, and typhoon forecast. The information table has four sub-tables. These two sources comprehensively and completely cover typhoon-related information from the southeastern coast of my country to the western Pacific, providing high-quality data resources for related research.
Time interval
- A source: 1945-2022.5.31 (the starting time of the wind circle radius table is 2015)
- B source: 1949-2022.5.31 (the starting time of the forecast information table is 2004)
