The National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), also known as the New Third Board, is a national securities exchange established under the Securities Law with the approval of the State Council. As the first company-style stock exchange in China, it serves as a market platform for the public transfer of shares and financing for non-listed companies, providing services such as stock trading, equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, as well as information, technology, and training services for market participants.
Compared to listed companies, NEEQ companies exhibit the following characteristics:

- Diverse industry distribution
- Relatively concentrated ownership dominated by individual shareholders
- Emphasis on technological development with core competitiveness
The CnOpenData patent series has previously covered listed companies, industrial enterprises, high-tech enterprises, and universities. This release introduces patent data for NEEQ companies, categorized into patent applications for invention, invention authorizations, and utility model patents, each accompanied by patent citation tables and patent cited-by tables.

- Invention applications: Statistics based on application publication dates (1990-2024)
- Invention authorizations/utility models/design patents: Statistics based on authorization publication dates (1990-2024)
Data Description
- NEEQ company types include: Listed, Pending Listing, Under Application, and Delisted. Securities codes prefixed with "Q" indicate "Under Application"; codes will be updated after official listing.
- Current listed company codes have been updated from ".OC" to ".NQ". Following the establishment of the Beijing Stock Exchange, the enhanced "New Third Board" framework will include ".OC" for Basic and Innovation Tiers and ".BJ" for Beijing Stock Exchange listed companies.
