Bank wealth management products, insurance products, and public funds have become the main directions for residents' asset allocation. Both bank wealth management and insurance wealth management are modern financial services provided by financial institutions to consumers for fund planning and wealth management. Bank wealth management refers to investment and management plans developed, designed, and sold by commercial banks for specific target customer groups based on the analysis and research of potential target customer groups. Insurance wealth management refers to arranging and planning funds reasonably through purchasing insurance to prevent and avoid financial difficulties caused by illness or disasters, thereby achieving ideal preservation and appreciation of assets. It is mainly divided into participating insurance, unit-linked insurance, and universal insurance.
On April 27, 2018, the "Guidelines on Regulating Asset Management Business of Financial Institutions" (hereinafter referred to as the "Asset Management New Regulations") were officially released and implemented. After a three-year transition period from 2018 to 2021, the Asset Management New Regulations officially took effect on January 1, 2022, marking the entry of China's asset management industry into a new stage of more standardized and orderly development. The Asset Management New Regulations are not only an important measure to prevent and resolve financial risks but also a major reform initiative in the asset management industry and even the entire financial sector. They have been the focus of attention and discussion among experts and scholars from multiple parties.
Therefore, the CnOpenData China Wealth Management Products Database has compiled statistical data on wealth management products released by banks and insurance companies, including two sub-tables: bank wealth management products and insurance wealth management products:
- The bank wealth management products table categorizes products into three types: capital-protected fixed income type, capital-protected floating income type, and non-capital-protected floating income type. Additionally, it covers information such as product name, issuing bank, currency, issuance date, discontinuation date, management period, starting amount, income type, and expected return rate.
- The insurance wealth management products table covers information such as issuing institution, product name, insurance category, insured age, and coverage period.
This database can provide authoritative, accurate, comprehensive, and timely data support for research on issues related to China's wealth management products.

The bank wealth management products table is statistically based on the issuance period: 2001-2021.
Insurance wealth management products are generally perpetual products, and there is no relevant time period.
