Since human society entered the information age, the rapid development and widespread application of digital technologies have given rise to the digital economy. Distinct from the agricultural economy of the farming era and the industrial economy of the industrial era, the digital economy represents a new form of economy, a new driving force, and a new business model, triggering profound and comprehensive transformations in society and economy. At this stage, digital technologies, products, and services are accelerating their penetration into traditional industries in multiple directions, levels, and chains—termed industrial digitalization—while simultaneously promoting the continuous growth and expansion of digital industry chains and industrial clusters, known as digital industrialization.
Currently, the digital economy has become a new engine driving China's high-quality and rapid economic growth. Various new business models emerging from the digital economy will also serve as crucial new growth points for China's economy. To provide better support for the innovative development of the digital economy, China released the "Reference Correspondence Table Between Core Industries of the Digital Economy and International Patent Classification (2023)" in March 2023. This document aligns the International Patent Classification with the classification of core industries in the digital economy, maximizing coverage of patents related to the core industries of the digital economy and providing a clearer, more accurate foundation for building relevant patent databases.
CnOpenData utilizes the aforementioned standard as the foundational document for database construction and matches it with the list of A-share listed companies and their subsidiaries, offering digital economy patent-related data for A-share listed companies. This data is structurally divided into three parts based on patent types: invention publication, invention authorization, and utility model. Each part includes a basic information table and a transaction table to present the fundamental information and legal status of each patent type. It complements the digital economy patent data and citation data of A-share listed companies, aiming to provide academia with higher-quality and more advanced thematic data support for the digital economy.
