Banks are financial institutions that operate currency and credit businesses. As products of commodity-money economy development, they engage in issuing credit currency, managing currency circulation, balancing capital supply-demand relationships, and handling monetary deposits-loans and settlements.
Since the reform and opening-up, China's commodity economy has become increasingly dynamic, with the banking sector experiencing rapid expansion. However, under current circumstances of accelerated interest rate liberalization, intensified internal-external competition, and declining profit growth rates, financial institutions must implement strategic adjustments in business structures, resource allocation, and regional layouts. Industry research focusing on development environments and market demands has become increasingly crucial.
