A labor dispute refers to a conflict arising between parties in an employment relationship concerning the implementation of labor laws and regulations or the fulfillment of labor contracts. Specifically, it denotes disputes between workers and their employing entities regarding rights and obligations within the employment relationship.
Labor disputes are relatively common occurrences in practice. After establishing employment relationships with workers, entities such as state organs, enterprises, public institutions, and social organizations mostly cooperate effectively and diligently fulfill contractual obligations. However, due to various real-world factors, disputes between the parties are often unavoidable. The occurrence of labor disputes not only undermines the maintenance of normal employment relationships but also infringes upon the legitimate interests of workers, posing a threat to social stability.
