With socio-economic development, the importance of intellectual property has progressively increased, and both the quantity and quality of intellectual property have become crucial indicators of enterprises' R&D capabilities.
To implement the requirements outlined in the "13th Five-Year Plan for National Intellectual Property Protection and Utilization" regarding "strengthening the evaluation of the relationship between patent activities and economic benefits," promote the innovation-driven development assessment integrating patents with industrial advancement, and facilitate patent-industry alignment, the China National Intellectual Property Administration formulated the Correspondence Table Between International Patent Classification and National Economic Industry Classification (2018).
Based on this correspondence table, CnOpenData has conducted annual statistical analyses of patent data across four progressively refined levels: industry category, major group, medium group, and minor group. This dataset holds significant reference value for both internal and external analyses of intellectual property (primarily patents) across various industries.
