Security prevention constitutes the primary safeguard for cultural relic preservation. As a major cultural heritage country and a steadfast advocate for international order in cultural heritage protection, China consistently upholds the principle of returning illegally removed cultural relics to their countries of origin. It actively promotes and supports international cooperation in combating the illicit trafficking of cultural properties.
The CnOpenData Foreign Stolen (Lost) Cultural Relics Dataset covers over 6,900 stolen relics from 38 batches reported to China by Ecuador, Iraq, Peru, and other countries since 2008, as published by the National Cultural Heritage Administration. This dataset includes fields such as relic name (文物名称), country (国家), location (地点), theft date (被盗日期), identification code (编码), dimensions (尺寸), material (材料), and more, providing critical data support for research in cultural preservation and archival management.
