New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) refer to automobiles that utilize non-conventional vehicle fuels as power sources (or employ conventional fuels with new-type onboard power devices), integrating advanced technologies in power control and driving systems to form vehicles with advanced technical principles and innovative technologies/structures.
As a government-driven emerging industry, NEVs have experienced exponential growth in recent years, prompting upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain to enter the power battery recycling sector. On one hand, the rapid development of the NEV industry has resulted in urgent environmental challenges requiring immediate resolution due to massive retirement of power batteries. On the other hand, the recycling, reprocessing, and utilization of power battery materials will significantly enhance China's self-sufficiency rate of raw materials for power batteries, reduce reliance on upstream resources, and help alleviate supply-demand tensions for raw materials. However, during the initial development phase, issues such as insufficient policy enforcement and irregular industry practices persist. Strengthening power battery recycling, improving regulatory frameworks and traceability management, and balancing lifecycle performance with environmental objectives have become imperative.
CnOpenData presents the New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Recycling Service Network Data, containing enterprise names, network site names, location information, and geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) of recycling service networks across China, providing robust support for relevant academic research.
